Connect to the power supply. The units are shipped with DIXELL XM670K controller. This controller allows
MASTER/SLAVE mode. If N units are to be connected (up to 8), then set “Adr” (address) of each unit with
numbers from 1 to N (where 1 is the master unit). In order to do so, the remote panel has to be used on
each unit to modify “Adr”: in fact, default configuration is that each unit can work as stand alone (i.e. they
are all Master units, “Adr” is set to 1).
To work in master/slave mode, connect X7 of the master to X8 of the 1st slave unit. (then, connect X7 of
this slave unit to X8 of the following slave unit). See the connections below
As explained in “the section menu” in dixell’s manual of the xm670k, by holding UP for more than 3
seconds the user will see “SEC” and, pushing SET, the user can
-
control all the units at once (by selecting “ALL”)
-
control a single unit in the network by choosing its address
-
control the unit on which the remote control panel is installed by choosing “LOC”.
In the last two cases, the values and alarms displayed are referred to the unit which is under control. In case that
“ALL” is selected, if a unit in the network is in alarm condition, the message “AS1, 2, … ,5” will appear, depending
on which unit is giving an alarm.
The network symbol (the one on top of the clock) will be ON if “ALL” is selected while it will flash if one of
the slave units is under control and will switch OFF if “LOC” is selected.
Alarms can be checked and reset in a similar way: on the remote panel, for example, “AS3” will flash if the
unit with address “Adr” = 3 is giving an alarm. Then by accessing the “section menu” and taking control of
unit with address 3 the alarm can be checked.
