To carry out complete defrosting of the (
)
freezer compartment proceed as follows:
Unplug the appliance from the power supply or set
the thermostat to position «
O
». Remove the frozen
foods and wrap them in several sheets of
newspaper, then keep them in a cool place.
Leave the door open.
Place a basin on the refrigerator compartment shelf
underneath the drainage hole and pull the plug
downward (Fig. 10); to reinsert it, just push it up.
The plug can be removed by pulling it downwards
when the drainage hole is to be cleaned.
After complete defrosting dry the refrigerator
compartment thoroughly.
Reconnect the appliance to the power supply, start
it up and, after half an hour, replace the foods
previously removed from the freezer.

Important
Remember that an increase in the surface
temperature of already-frozen foods may
significantly decrease their storage life.
Never use knives or metal objects to scrape away
the accumulated frost since you may damage the
cooling circuit.
