Improper use of the product may lead to it toppling. This may result in damage to prop-
erty, severe injury and even death.
• Never brace your full weight against the guardrails.
• Do not exceed the permissible load limit of 150 kg.
• Do not exceed the maximum height.
• Do not try to extend the working height by using ladders, boxes or other objects.
• Do not subject the equipment to one-sided loads. Always distribute loads evenly on
the platform.
• Do not deposit objects on the access steps.
• Do not generate horizontal forces, e.g. by swaying back and forth.
• Do not install any lifting tackle, material hoists or the like on the product.
• Only one or two people may move the product at a time, never with towing trucks or
forklifts. Avoid any kind of impact or collision.
• Do not move faster than walking speed and apply the brakes immediately at the end
of the movement.
• Only move the product longitudinally or diagonally, on even, unobstructed surfaces
of sufficient load-bearing capacity, and apply the brakes immediately when it has
reached its new position.
6.2 Functional check
Do not use the product unless all of the following questions can be answered with “YES”.
• Have all the parts in the scope of delivery been fitted?
• Is the product level and horizontal (incline max. 2.5%) and is it standing on a floor that
has sufficient load capacity?
• Have all supplied guardrails been installed and secured in place?
• Have all screwed connections been tightened according to the torques specified?
• Have all moving attachment and structural parts been secured in place using the lock-
ing mechanisms intended for this purpose?
• Is the product in a good working condition?
• Are the brake levers on the fixed and swivel castors secured?
6.3 Operation of the access steps with platform
When adjusting the height, the platform or steps can be set to a maximum of 1.5° from
horizontal.

There is a risk of falling when working on the product without using adequate fall pro-
tection equipment. This may result in damage to property, severe injury and even death.
• If the user installs the guardrails while standing on the platform, fall protection
equipment must be used to protect the user until the guardrails have been fitted.
• Before removing the end guard rail, the height adjustment of the rack and pinion
winch must be blocked by briefly turning it in the opposite direction.
