Advanced installation with SOS™ function:
To enable the Skimmer Overflow Stopper (SOS) function,
follow the instruction to install sensors.
Install water level sensor into the skimmate collection
cup or a drainage container:
1)
Plug the water level sensor plug into sensor connector 1.
2)
Put the transparent cover(bubble guard) over the sensor
before mounting it inside the cup.
3)
Secure the senor against the cup wall by its companion
magnet. (Or against the drainage container wall if you use one)
4)
Position the sensor so that the probe tips of the senor are just below the
skimmate inner riser tube rim as shown. (or top of the drainage container)
5)
If the sensor cannot fit between the top of the cup and cover ring, then
turn the sensor 90 degree with the upper probe pin of the senor just
below the rim as shown in the picture above.
6)
Now your SOS is ready to guard against disasters due to skimmer overflow.
Skimmer pump is stopped when the water level rises either touches the
two probe leads or the sensor body is two third to fully covered up with
water when installed at 90 degree . Buzzer beeps and LED blinks too.
7)
If needed, use the supplied file to file out a slot on the cup edge to allow
cable exiting as shown.
Install water level sensor into the sump (optional):
Install the 2
nd
sensor if you want to prevent skimmer overflows when the
water level in your sump rises due to the return pump being turned off or
immediately after a power outage.
1)
Plug the water level sensor plug into sensor connector 2.
2)
Secure the senor against the sump wall by its companion magnet.
3)
Position the sensor so that the probe tips are above the normal water
level in the sump at which point the skimmer will start overflowing.
4)
Now your SOS is ready to guard any unnecessary skimmer overflow
due to the water level in your sump rising. When triggered, the pump
will stop, Buzzer will beep and LED will blink at the same time.
Warranty
Your SOS is under warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase. This excludes:
1)
Water damage to the SOS controller unit.
2)

the back cover and release the fuse cover. The fuse is a 4.5mm x
