By factory default, the CO4 obtains its IP address from a DHCP server. Alternatively, you may assign a static IP address to the
gateway or use PPPoE to obtain an IP address from your DSL provider. For most applications, you should statically assigned an
IP address to the CO4.
1 Logging
in
1.
Power on the CO4.
2.
Connect the CO4 to the LAN.
3.
By factory default, the CO4 boots up and gets its IP address from a DHCP server. If you do not have a DHCP server, CO4
will boot up with 192.168.2.218 as its IP address (if this is the case, skip to step 7).
4.
Connect port one of the CO4 to a PSTN phone line.
5.
Call the phone number for the phone line you just connected to the CO4. For example, if the number for that phone line is
1-408-587-9333
, call that number.
6.
Once the call is established, you will hear a continuous ring tone. Press the # key twice to listen to the IP address.
7.
Launch a web browser and enter the IP address of the CO4.
8.
Enter the password to login. The default password is “0000”.

Setting up an IP address
1.
Click “Network Config.”
2.
Enter the IP address of your network’s default gateway in the “Default Gateway” text entry field.
3.
Select “Off” for “DHCP.”
4.
Enter the IP address for the CO4 in the “Ethernet IP Address” text entry field.
5.
Enter the subnet mask of your network in the “Subnet Mask” text entry field.
6.
You may also specify IP addresses for your DNS server and time server in this window.
7.
Click the “Submit” button.
8.
Click System Tools | Reboot to reboot the CO4.

Configuring the CO4 to work with a Zed-3 IP PBX
1.
Log on to the CO4.
2.
Click System Config.
3.
Change the DTMF Method to “2833.”
4.
Click the “Submit” button.
5.
Click SIP Config.
