7.1 Replacing filters
The replacement period of the filter depends on local
circumstances.
Replace the filter (at least) once every six
months.
Filters must be replaced with the original
manufacturer’s filters only.
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Open the filter maintenance access door.
3. Pull both filter clamps (upper and lower) forwards.
4. Remove the old filters.
5. Slide the new filters into the ComfoAir.
■
Place the air direction arrow towards the plate
exchanger;
■
Place the text “Dust side” away from the plate
exchanger.
If the filter is in two sections, the gap
between them must line up with the vertical
seal frame.
6. Push the filter clamps backwards.
7. Close the filter maintenance access door.
If the filters are not fitted correctly, the door
will not shut properly.
8. If no further maintenance is required:
Turn the ComfoAir back on.
7.2 Inspecting and cleaning the
internal siphon
Inspect the internal siphon at least once a
year
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Open the plate exchanger and/or battery
maintenance access door.
3. Perform the following checks of the condensation
drain siphon:
■
Check whether the drain is still open by
pouring water in the leakage tray;
■
Visually inspect the condensation drain for
contamination;
■
Check whether the siphon is properly
connected.
4. Resolve any established problems.
5. If no further maintenance is required:
Close the maintenance access doors and turn the
ComfoAir back on.
7.3 Inspecting and cleaning the air
ducts
Inspect the air ducts at least every four
years.
Carry out the following checks on the air ducts:
■
Contamination (dust and grease);
■
Air leakages (loose connections);
■
Resistance (bends, dents and blocked grilles);
■
Grilles.
With normal use the extract air ducts should be
cleaned every four years and the supply air ducts
every eight years.
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Loosen the dirt.
3. Remove the dirt with a vacuum cleaner or
filterbox.
4. If no further maintenance is required:
Turn the ComfoAir back on.
5. Check the airflow capacity of the ventilation
settings then reset them where necessary.
7.4 Inspecting and cleaning the
ComfoAir casing
Inspect the ComfoAir casing at least once a
year.
1. Disconnect the ComfoAir from its power supply.
2. Open the maintenance doors.
3. Perform the following checks:
■
Check the seals for damage;
■
Check the inside and outside for dirt and
damage;
■
Check that the door hinges/clamps function
properly.
Any signs of corrosion and other damage
must be treated directly and appropriately.
4. If no further maintenance is required:
Close the maintenance access doors and turn the
ComfoAir back on.
To clean the whole ventilation system, we
recommend hiring a specialized cleaning firm.
