4. IMPORTANT PREREQUISITES FOR
OPERATION AND HANDLING
The operation of the radiator can be started via 2 different operating options,
which cannot be operated simultaneously, and which can be selected by the user on a
case-by-case basis according to his personal needs:
A) Exclusively via the touch screen integrated on the front of the radiator.
B) By using the remote control and the control panel (touch screen).
It is possible to switch from one control option to the other at any time but note
that one control option temporarily excludes the other.
Operating option A (touch screen = manual):
Depending on which key of the touch screen is currently activated (except
for key «T5»), the radiator reaches and maintains the set operating temperature of
approx. 45, 55 or 65°C, regardless of other environmental factors. By pressing one of
the functions T2, T3, T4 or T5 twice in succession, the radiator is operated only via the
touch screen (without considering the room temperature entered on the remote control
or other functions).
Operating option B (remote control= automatic):
If you want the radiator to operate autonomously depending on parameters
other than the surface operating temperature (e.g. according to the room temperature
in which it is installed, if you want it to be active only at certain times or if you want it to
operate in economy mode, etc.), you must use the remote control supplied and select
a T2, T3 or T4 function on the touch screen for the desired surface temperature.
Changing from control option B to A:
By pressing one of the keys T2, T3, T4 or T5 on the touchscreen twice in
succession, the radiator changes from operating option B to A.
Changing from control option A to B:
By pressing the On button on the remote control until the temperature is
displayed, the radiator changes from operating option A to B. Operating option B is
indicated by the constant illumination of the operating key lock symbol.
Practical example:
The radiator was started via the touch screen (i.e. in control option A) and the
«T3» key, which corresponds to the temperature of 55°C. The radiator was switched
on only later and the temperature of 23°C was confirmed in «Comfort» mode. Only
later was the remote control switched on and the temperature of 23°C confirmed
in «Comfort» mode: from this moment on, the radiator switches from control option A
to B.
Comment on the 2 different control options (A and B):
Although control option A is the simplest, quickest and most intuitive way to start
the radiator, control option B offers a greater choice of functions.
Important note:
If the radiator is switched on again by the touch screen or the remote control,
the operation of the radiator is resumed according to the last setting before switching
off.
When installing in combination with a (bus) home automation system, we
recommend supplying the radiator via an active (remotely controllable) socket and
selecting operation via control option A.
Further notes:
When the room temperature or surface temperature is reached, the radiator
may switch on briefly (L8 lights up red) so that the temperature only drops slowly.
Temperature is lowered only slowly to prevent stress on the glass.
Function T2 low temperature heating mode (45°C):
Compared to functions T3 and T4, where the red LED is displayed immediately,
except when the surface temperature is reached, it may sometimes take a few minutes
for the radiator to heat (red LED), because the algorithm for calculating the operation
of function T2 takes a little longer. If the surface temperature is already above 45 °C,
the red LED for heating operation does not light up until the surface temperature is
below 45 °C.
