4.23.1
Inserting the HBO 103 W/2 mercury vapor short-arc bulb
For safety reasons, the HBO 100 illuminator and the HBO 103 W/2 mercury vapor short-arc bulb are
packed separately.
The first step in setting up the illuminator is therefore to insert the HBO 103 W/2 bulb into the lamp
housing.
Instructions on inserting or replacing the HBO 103 W/2 bulb can be found in the operating manual
supplied with the illuminator.
An FL attenuator, discrete (manual or motorized) should be fitted into reflected-light
illuminator FL to change the transmission.

Fitting the HBO 100 illuminator

Remove the cover from the reflected light
socket (Fig. 54/

Insert the dovetail of the lamp housing
(Fig. 54/

) into the reflected light socket

tighten the clamping screw (Fig. 54/

3 mm ball-headed screwdriver.

Insert the multi-pin plug of the HBO 100
illuminator (Fig. 54/

) and secure with the coupling ring.
