Seal integrity
The riflescope is waterproof, pressure tested to ISO 9022-80 and filled with
nitrogen. Correct sealing is also guaranteed even if the screw cover (1) of the
reticle adjustment is not screwed on. However, always ensure correct seating
of the screw cover (1) and sealing ring (7). Replace damaged sealing rings.
Reticle
Your riflescope is fitted with the reticle of your choice. For the Classic Diatal/
Diavari models, the reticle is in the second image level. The reticle is not
magnified during magnification change, but rather always remains the same.
For these riflescopes, the dimension of coverage of the reticle is therefore
dependent on magnification. Use of the Rapid-Z
®
7 reticle is described in
separate user instructions.

Reticle retrofitting
The Classic Diatal/Diavari riflescopes can of course also be subsequently
equipped with other available reticles. For reticle retrofitting, please send the
riflescope to our customer service.
Care and maintenance
Your Carl Zeiss riflescope does not require special maintenance.
Do not wipe coarse dirt particles (e.g. sand) from the lens, but rather blow
away or remove these with a hair brush!
After some time, fingerprints can attack the surface of the lens.
The simplest method for cleaning lens surfaces is to breathe on it and softly
rub with a clean optical cleaning cloth/paper.
Dry storage and constant, good ventilation of the outer lens surfaces help to
prevent the possible formation of mold film on the optics, especially in tropical
climates.
