Selection of laser lines
•
Press the
Laser
button to display the Laser
control expansion submenu (Fig. 28).
Alternatively open the
Laser Lines
by clicking
on the triangle. They provide settings for:

AOTF Dampening
factor (only visible, if in
the
Maintain
area in the
ConfoCor
Options
tool the
Control AOTF
dampening automatically
check box in
register
Measure
in un-ticked),
−
Measurement / Pinhole Adjustment
laser
power,
−
Bleach
laser power.
Since the expansion submenu will close when
clicking in other areas, we recommend to use the
Laser Lines
, if you want to adjust the count rate.
AOTF Dampening
•
Press the
AOTF Dampening
tab to display the
AOTF Dampening control panel (Fig. 29). Press
again to close the panel
•
In the
AOTF Dampening Factor (%)
box the
AOTF can be set to suppress the laser light by
the defined percentage. You can either type
into the display box or use the slide tab or the
up / down arrows to define the percentage of
which the laser power will be reduced. For
example, if the AOTF is set to 2 % and an AOTF
dampening percentage is set to 10 %, the
actual attenuation is 10 % of 2 %, which is
0.2 %. The Dampening allows to reduce laser
powers for bright samples and to extend the
range of lower laser settings.
