Counting (Raw Data) Format
In this display, photons are displayed according to their number (Fig. 156).

In the
Status Area
the displayed value of the pixel to which the mouse points in the image is displayed
as the number of photons.
Counting images can not be used for further processing in the LSM software like mean of ROI
function, statistics etc. They can be exported to have access to the raw data.
In case of too bright samples, you can
extend laser powers to lower ranges by using
the AOTFDriverPower45.lvb Macro
(Fig. 157). You can set the overall laser
power to 100 %, 10 %, 1 % and 0.1 %
meaning no reduction or a reduction by a
factor of 10, 100 and 100.
