SECTION 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precaution, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures
Remove personnel from area until fumes are gone. If the skin has come into
contact with electrolyte, it should be washed thoroughly with plenty of water.
Methods for Containment and Cleaning up
The material contained within the batteries would only be expelled under abusive
conditions. Using shovel or broom, cover battery or spilled substances with dry
sand or vermiculite, place in approved container (after cooling if necessary) and
dispose accordance with local regulations.
SECTION 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Precautions for Safe Handling
Do not crush, pierce, short circuit.
Do not directly heat or solder.
Do not throw into fire.
Do not mix batteries of different types and brands.
Do not mix new and used batteries.
Keep batteries in original housing.
The Zeliox must be fully charged before storing it for a longer period of time.
Check every 100 days and fully recharge.
Conditions for Safe Storage
Store in a cool (preferably between 10-30°C) and ventilated area, away from
moisture, sources of heat, open flames, food and drinks.
Keep adequate clearance between walls and batteries.
Temperatures above 70°C may result in battery leakage and rupture.
Since a short circuit can cause burns, leakage and rupture hazard, keep batteries
in original housing and do not take the housing apart and/or disassemble.
