POSSIBLE FAULTS IN MIXER type 481, MOTOR type 252.1000, STAND WITH 

BOWL type 481.1000, STAND WITH BALANCE type 481.1500, 

STAND type 481.1600

Mixer does not work or works 
with interruptions. 

1.1.Lack of voltage in mains 
socket. 

Check to make sure there is voltage in the electricity supply network. 

1.2.Power cord damaged or 

damage to internal wiring. 

Check the power cord and internal wiring. Rectify the fault or renew the 
damaged cord. 

1.3.Motor damaged. 

Dismantle the mixer, dismantle the motor, repair and test the motor. 

1.4.Speed selection switch 
damaged. 

Check the switch for operational quality. 
In the case of damage replace it with the new one.  

1.5.Capacitor damaged. 

Replace with the new one.

Motor does not work or works 
with interruptions. 

2.1.Brushes worn out to large 

extent or suspended in 
brush-holder frames. 

. 
 

Unbend the brush-holder lugs and remove the brushes. In the case of 
finding that they are worn out up to 5 mm, replace them with new ones. 
In the case of brush suspension, clean the brush-holder from dust and, 
where necessary, slightly rub the lateral edges of brushes with  fine-
grained abrasive paper (no. 600 or 800). 

2.2.Bad contact between 

brush and commutator 
due to dirt or shorting on 
commutator. 

Wipe the commutator with a cloth moistened in spirit. If the dirt cannot 
be removed, rub the commutator with fine-grained abrasive paper (no. 
600 or 800 ) and remove any possible shorting between the commutator 
sections. 

2.3.Shorting or break on rotor. 
 

Dismantle the motor, Check the rotor. In the case of shorting or break in 
the rotor Winding, replace with the new one. The winding resistance is 
30.5 

±0.5%, when measured between two opposite sections of the 

commutator.  

2.4.Break or shorting in stator 

windings. 

Dismantle the motor. In the case of finding the damage, replace the 
windings with the new ones, after cleaning the package from coal and 
impregnating resin dust. The stator winding resistance at the third gear 
is 29±0.5%, at the forth gear 23±0.5%, at the fifth gear 17±0.5%.

Switch is blocked on particular 
gears. 

3.1.Elastic arm of switch lever 

is damaged. 

Dismantle the mixer, Replace the switch with the new one. 

3.2. Metal ball is missing. 
 

Dismantle the mixer. Insert  the ball in the movable contact socket. 

4 

No difference between 
speeds on particular gears. 

4.1.Diode reducing voltage on 
one of switch speeds is 
damaged. 

Dismantle the mixer. Replace the switch with the new one, possibly 
renew the diode. 

5 

Mixer constantly works on 
maximum speed. 

5.1.”Turbo” switch pusher is 

blocked. 

Dismantle the mixer. Replace the switch with the new one. 

5.2.Maximum speed switch 

contacts are closed. 

Dismantle the mixer. Open the switch contacts, possibly replace the 
switch with the new one.

No possibility to switch „turbo” 
speed on lower gears. 
 

6.1.”Turbo” switch pusher is 

blocked. 

Dismantle the mixer. Check for switch pusher blocking. Remove the 
cause of blocking. 

6.2.Switch pusher is 

deformed. 

Dismantle the mixer. Replace the switch with the new one. 

6.3.Large clearance between 

switch contacts.  

Dismantle the mixer. Bring the “turbo” contacts nearer. 

7 

No drive to dough hooks. 
Motor is working.  

7.1.Gear wheel teeth 
damaged. 

Dismantle the drive. Renew the gear wheels.  

8 

No drive to mixing 
attachment. Motor is working. 

8.1.Clutch on motor shaft is 

damaged. 

Dismantle the motor. Replace the clutch with the new one. 
 

8.2.Mixing attachment clutch 
damaged. 
 
 
 

Replace the mixing attachment with the new one. 

8.3.No coupling.  

Incorrect The length of mixing attachment shaft is incorrect 

– replace the 

attachment with the new one. 
The thread of the threaded end is damaged 

– replace the threaded end 

with the new one.

Difficulties when removing 
attachments. 

9.1.Pusher damaged. 

   Replace the pusher with the new one. 

9.2.Gear wheel holes dirty or 

dough hooks damaged. 

Remove the dough hooks. Clean the gear wheel holes. Check the 
pusher for proper operation. Replace the deformed dough hooks or 
whisks with the new ones.  

10 

Housings damaged. 

10.1.Overheating of motor or 

mechanical damage. 

Dismantle the mixer. Replace the housings with the new ones.
