Note:

If you have a monoscope test pattern set

horizontal size to 5 graticule marks (left and
right) and vertical size to 4.0 graticule marks
(top and bottom).

Some remote control keys have two functions.

Press key a second time to toggle to second
function.

Step 7: Converge Red onto Green

1. Enable Red CRT video by removing RED disable

jumper of SW2. Blue CRT should still be disabled.

2. Adjust vertical controls to obtain straight horizontal

lines.

3. Adjust horizontal controls to obtain straight vertical

lines.

4. Adjust L-Lin, L-Edge, L-Size, and Mid-Size to fully

converge the Red image to the Green image .

5. Repeat steps 2-4, as necessary, until best possible

convergence is achieved.

Step 8: Converge Blue onto Green

1. Enable Blue CRT video by removing BLUE disable

jumper of SW2 and disable Red CRT video by
installing RED disable jumper of SW2.

2. Adjust vertical controls to obtain straight horizontal

lines.

3. Adjust horizontal controls to obtain straight vertical

lines.

4. Adjust R-Lin, R-Edge, R-Size, and Mid-Size to fully

converge Blue image to Green image.

5. Repeat steps 2-4, as necessary, until best possible

convergence is achieved.

Step 9: Final Convergence of Red and Blue to

Green

1. Enable Red CRT video and Blue CRT video by

removing RED and BLUE disable jumpers of SW2.

2. Adjust the convergence controls, as necessary, until

best possible convergence is achieved.

Step 10: Save Convergence Adjustments

A question will be displayed, Do You Want To Store Your
Changes - YES/NO, when QUIT is pressed once. Using

ADJUST

key, change and high light to

YES

, and press

ENTER

to save. You may also press

QUIT

twice to exit

the convergence setup mode without saving changes.

4. Locate physical center of display screen.

5. Look at horizontal line and adjust by loosening yoke

clamp and rotating yoke assembly.

6. Using ring magnets set Green CRT beam to center

point of screen.

7. Adjust Red horizontal line to convergence with Green

horizontal line and Red vertical line 3/4" to right of
Green vertical line. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for Blue
horizontal and vertical line.

8. Adjust Blue horizontal line to convergence with

green horizontal line and blue vertical line 3/4" to
left of green vertical line.

9. Press

PIP

for

TRK4000

or

FREEZE

for

MBR

remote to

enable convergence. The Geometry MUTE display
should be off.

10. Mute (cutoff) Red and Blue CRT video by placing

jumpers of SW2 (on the main module) to disable
position.

11. Looking at the Green - notice if pattern changed

coordinates. If yes go to step 12. If no go to step 13.

12. Press

Menu + FLASHBK

on remote. Screen should say

Green DC. Use small arrows on remote to adjust Green
centering.

13. Enable Red CRT video, by removing RED disable jumper

of SW2. Press

SURF + Menu

for

TRK

or

CC + Menu

for

MBR

remote to select Red DC and convergence Red to

Green.

14. Enable Blue CRT video, by removing BLUE disable

jumper of SW2. Press

MUTE + Menu

to select Blue DC

and convergence Blue to Green.

Step 6: Setup Green Reference Color

1. Disable Red and Blue CRT video using the jumpers of

SW2 (on the main module) .

2. Press

F 6

on remote. Screen should say

Green Size. Use small arrows on remote to set Horz. &
Vert. size to 127.

3. On the sweep module adjust vertical and horizontal

size controls to about 1.5" of over scan. Display
aspect ratio must be 3 to 4.

4. Adjust vertical controls to obtain straight horizontal

lines.

5. Adjust horizontal controls to obtain straight vertical

lines.

6. Repeat steps 2-5, as necessary, to achieve best

possible display.
