VCR+ PlusCodes
Your local TV listings usually include a VCR+ PlusCode with programs appearing in your area.
KIDS TV
Allows you to specify, using their VCR+ PlusCodes, the programs you will allow to appear on your. TV.
BLOCK
Allows you to specify, using their VCR+ PlusCodes, programs you want to prevent from appearing on your TV.
WATCH
Allows you to schedule programs, using their VCR+ PlusCodes, to appear when they are broadcast; TV will tune to
these programs automatically as they are aired.
REVIEW
Displays the programs scheduled to be controlled.
Don’t want to allow your family to see a particular R-rated
program, select it to be Blocked.
Don’t want to miss the big game, select it to be Watched
and it will be tuned to automatically.
Select (using their VCR+ PlusCodes) programs that you want controlled for Kids TV, Block, or Watch
Overview
V-CHIP Plus+ allows you to control the programming
which can appear on your TV screen. V-CHIP Plus+
has three options:
Kid’s TV
- Restricts viewing to only up to five pro-
grams which can appear on the TV screen.
Block
- Prevents up to five programs from appearing.
Watch
- Schedules up to five programs to appear on
the TV screen as those programs are broadcast.
Review
- Shows the programs being controlled.
Controls Programming Using VCR+ PlusCodes
Although similiar to Parental Control, the V-CHIP
Plus+ feature use the program’s VCR+ PlusCode num-
ber which are usually included in your local broad-
cast area’s weekly TV program guide.
Things to Consider Before Using V-CHIP Plus+
Do you want V-CHIP Plus+ to be active all the time? You
can turn the Kid’s TV option, on or off.
Do you want the program to be controlled:
Once - Program is controlled one time.
Daily - Program is controlled each day, Mon-Sun.
Weekly - Program is controlled one time a week.
V-CHIP Plus+ Menu Operation
Press V-CHIP+ on remote to go to and QUIT to exit the
V-CHIP Plus+ menu.
Use Up, Down, Left, and Right arrows to access options.
Use NUMBER keypad to enter VCR+ PlusCode numbers.
Once an option is highlighted, press ENTER to accept the
option.
Press V-CHIP+ to return to previous menu.
Enter a second weekly time for programs that are broad-
cast more than once per week; for example, if a program is
broadcast on Monday and Wednesday.
Unhappy with the current selections available in your
broadcast area, select only the programs you want to view
using the Kid’s TV option.
