Connecting an Outdoor Antenna
For the best signal reception, we recommend you use an outdoor antenna.
Severely weathered antennas and antenna cables can reduce the signal quality. Before connecting an
outdoor antenna, inspect it yourself or have a TV technician inspect it. Any service center can explain the
various outdoor antenna options available to you.
Connecting a CATV Cable
If you subscribe to a CATV system, use the antenna connection described below.
1. Remove the 300 to 75 ohm adapter or the cable from the set if attached.
2. Connect the CATV cable (75 ohm coaxial cable) to the 75 ohm antenna jack.
300 Ohm Flat Wire
1. Connect the 300 ohm flat wire to screws on the
300 ohm to 75 ohm adapter.
2. Push the end of 300 ohm to 75 ohm adapter
onto the 75 ohm antenna jack.
75 Ohm Coaxial Cable
1. Screw the 75 ohm coaxial cable directly onto
the threaded 75 ohm antenna jack.
