Cabling
The internal interface cable that supports floppy disk drives has
both a center and an end-of-cable connector. The end of the
signal cable (P3) will always be connected to Drive A. The
connector at the center of the signal cable (P2) may be connected
to Drive B. Do not install or attempt to operate a floppy disk
drive connected to the center of the cable without first connecting
a floppy disk drive to the end of the cable.
Drive Bay Selection
The standard floppy disk drive (normally designated Drive A)
will always be located in peripheral bay A. The recommended
drive bay location for the optional second floppy disk drive
(normally designated Drive B) is peripheral bay B.

Handling a Floppy Disk
Preserve floppy disks by following these guidelines:
Keep floppy disks away from magnetic fields.
Do not put heavy objects on floppy disks.
Store floppy disks in a temperature range of 10 to 51C (50 to 125F).
You can stick a temporary label on a floppy disk. Use this label to
identify the contents of the disk. Peel off and replace the
temporary label as often as necessary; do not place new labels on
top of old ones.
