Offboard VGA/EGA Adapter Installed — Select “Yes” if a
video adapter board is installed in the system. Select “No” if the
onboard video is the only video used.
Keyboard — If you are going to operate your system without a
keyboard, select “Not Installed” so that the POST will not report
the absence of the keyboard as an error. If you use a keyboard
with the keyboard setting at “Not Installed”, it will function
normally.
NumLock on at Boot — This setting controls whether or not
Num Lock is on after the system boots.
Password — To install a password, press + or – and follow the
instructions on the screen. The next time the system boots, it will
prompt you for the password.
To change the password, enter the following at the
Enter Password
prompt:
oldpassword/newpassword/newpassword
To remove the password, enter the following at the
Enter Password
prompt:
password/
To disable the password facility, set the clear-password jumper
on the system board. Refer to the “Jumper Configurations”
section later in this chapter.
POST Memory Test Prompt — This setting determines
whether the memory test prompt is displayed during the POST.
POST Setup Prompt — This setting determines whether the
Setup prompt “Press F1 to enter Setup” is displayed. If the
prompt is disabled, enter Setup by pressing F1 when the POST
displays the test code number “135.”
