Example 2: disabled channel
Four different cases are now presented in relation to how KES works when the channel where
measures are being made is disabled:
CASE 1
Let a power consumption of 3 kW happen during 24h. If the
channel is permanently enabled, at the end of the day:
[Cx] Daily Energy Consumption = 72 kWh
[Cx] Average Daily Energy Consumption = 72 / 24 = 3 kWh per hour
If during the rest of the week the channel is left enabled and the
power consumption keeps being 3 kW:
[Cx] Weekly energy consumption = 504 kWh
[Cx] Average Weekly Energy Consumption = 504 / 7 = 72 kWh per day
CASE 2
Similar case, but one of the days the channel is left disabled
during 12 hours (no matter which ones). In such case, that day:
[Cx] Daily Energy Consumption = 36 kWh
[Cx] Average Daily Energy Consumption = 36 / 12 = 3 kWh
If the channel is left enabled for the rest of the week and the
power consumption is still 3 kW, when the week ends:
[Cx] Weekly Energy Consumption = 468 kWh
[Cx] Average Weekly Energy Consumption = 468 / 7 = 66.
85 kWh ≈ 67 kWh
CASE 3
Similar situation, but one of the days the channel is left disabled
during the whole day. That day:
[Cx] Daily Energy Consumption = 0 kWh
[Cx] Average Daily Energy Consumption = 0 / 0 = 0 kWh per hour
