b. Cut the wire leads to 1-1/4“ (30mm) (Fig 63). Strip 1/8” (3mm) insulation off the ends.
Gently twist the tiny strands of copper wire together. Now gently twist the red and black
wires together (64). Tin the ends of the wires with your soldering iron (65).

c. The wires go into the holes marked 9V. Solder the red wire into the hole with the square pad
(+). Solder the black wire into the hole with the round pad (-) (Fig 66, 67).

d. Now swing the battery holder into place (68). Make sure the holder does not rest on top
of the wires. Mount the holder to the PCB with three M3 screws. Tighten the battery holder
firmly against the PCB (69).
