SAFETY GUIDELINES

When using electrical appliances, safety precautions should always be followed. 

 

1.

 

This instructions manual is an integral part of the appliance. Read all the instructions and 

safety notices in the present manual carefully, as they provide important information about 

usage and maintenance. Keep the manual for future reference.

2.

   If you do not understand the infomation, do not use the appliance and refer to professionally 

qualified Zepter personnel.

3.

   After removing the packaging, make sure the device is intact, and carefully inspect the glass 

surface and power cord.

4.

 

Do not touch hot surfaces.

5.

 

To protect against fire, electric shock and injury do not immerse the appliance, the cord, or 

the plug in water or in other liquid.

6.

 

Check  that  the  power  rating  of  the  Zepter  Radio  Induction  Cooker  matches  that  of  your 

household electrical wiring system.

7.

 

It is essential that the Zepter Radio Induction Cooker is connected to an earthed socket.

8.

   This  appliance  may  be  used  by  children  aged  8  years  and  above  and  by  persons  with 

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided 

they are supervised or have been given suitable instructions concerning the safe use of the 

appliance and they understand the hazards involved.

9.

 

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

10.

  Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

11.

   Keep the appliance and its cord out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

12.

   Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children under 8 years of age; it may 

be performed by children over the age of 8 if suitably supervised.

13.

  Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.    

 

14.

  When cooking is complete, do not touch the induction board as it may still be hot.

15.

  Allow the Zepter Radio Induction Cooker to cool down before putting anything on top of the 

Induction Cooker.

16.

  Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or one which has been found 

to malfunction or has been damaged. Return the appliance to a Zepter Service Centre for 

examination, repair, or adjustment. 

17.

  Keep the Zepter Radio Induction Cooker clean; avoid any food residues or dirt from getting into 

the appliance, as this may cause damage.

18.

  Extreme caution must be used when moving cookware containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

19.

  Put the Zepter Radio Induction Cooker on a horizontal and stable counter, and keep it at least 

10 cm away from the wall or other objects.

20.

  The use of adaptors, multiple sockets and/or extension leads is generally not recommended. 

If you must use them, make sure that only standard or multiple adaptors and extension leads 

that conform to current safety regulations are used.

21.

  To disconnect the appliance, turn all controls to the OFF setting, before removing the plug from 

the wall outlet.

22.

  Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than that for which it is intended.  

23.

  At the end of the lifetime of the appliance, we recommend making it safe by cutting off the 

power  cord.  Do  so  only  after  unplugging  it  from  the  power  outlet.  Do  not  dispose  of  the 

appliance as ordinary waste; leave it with personnel qualified to collect such material. In this 

way it will be properly disposed of and recycled.
