Appendix D. CPS Menu Structure
1) DC Control-Momentary
Use this DC control option if the radio requires only a momentary DC current to perform the
desired function.
2) DC Control-Constant
Some radios require that the control current be maintained constantly in order to perform the
desired function. Use this option if your radio requires a constant current.
a) DC Control-Standard/Custom
After selecting momentary or constant DC control, you will be asked if your radio uses
standard DC currents or if it requires custom control currents. By defining the channel as a
custom control radio, the DC currents for each key must be selected from the list of available
currents. Select standard or custom from the menu shown in Figure D-54.

Figure D-54. STANDARD/CUSTOM Menu
If Standard was selected in the menu in Figure D-54, the next parameter to enter is the type
of radio connected to the channel. The standard configuration choices will then be listed.
Choose the one that matches your radio from the menu shown in Figure D-55.

Single frequency standard DC controlled radio without paging option. Consult the
radio specifications prior to selecting a channel type.
T1R1
P
AGING
Single frequency standard DC controlled radio with paging option. If your radio
supports the paging option, use this type. The Auxiliary PTT input will cause a DC
control current different from the normal PTT to be generated.
T2R2/T22R
Standard DC controlled radio with two frequency transmit and receive capability.
Choosing this option allows frequency select keys to be programmed.
