INSTALLATION
If the CellPhone Detector Plus is to be battery operated or
battery backed-up AC power is desired; prior to putting the unit
into service, install the batteries (not included). See “Battery
Replacement” on page 13.
Placement
To make the unit easily visible to room occupants, place the
CellPhone Detector Plus about 2 meters above the floor. This
will also help avoid unwanted impacts to the unit.
For some applications it is desirable for the CellPhone
Detector Plus to be as unobtrusive as possible. If this applies
to your application, then it may also be desirable to turn off the
Flashing LED on the front of the unit and use the remote Alarm
Output.

Mounting
Mount the CellPhone Detector Plus on any non-metallic
surface or place it upright on a shelf or similar structure.
WARNING
Mounting the CellPhone Detector Plus on or very near
metal surfaces can significantly reduce the coverage area.
Use 1-inch (2.54 cm) long, #6 (3.5 mm) screws. Be sure the
screws being used are appropriate for the mounting surface.
Drill two holes spaced 7

install two mounting screws. Leave the screw heads extended
