ACTIVATION
After installing batteries in your CellPhone Detector Plus or if
an external power supply is to be used, remove the trim panel
on the front and make the following adjustments. See the
diagram on page 3 for switch locations. See “Battery
Replacement” on page 13 for instructions on installing the
batteries.
1. Move the POWER OFF/ON switch to the ON position.
2. Move the VOICE I/O DIP switch to the UP position to
enable the voice alarm message or to the DOWN position
for a beeps-only alarm. This is the left-most switch on the
DIP switch located above the ON/OFF switch.
3. Adjust the threshold setting with a small screwdriver. This
is factory-set to an intermediate distance.
Note
Unwanted alarms may indicate that the threshold
adjustment should be moved closer to NEAR. This will
prevent transmitters outside of the intended coverage
area from activating the alarm.
4. To set the alarm volume, press the TEST/MUTE button
and listen to the alarm. While the alarm plays, adjust the
VOL LOW/HI control to a satisfactory level using a small
screwdriver.
5. Other adjustments that can be made are Speaker Audio,
Flashing Light, and Auto-Registration Mode. These are
discussed in more detail in ”Features and Controls” on
