VIII. Troubleshooting 
 

 

Trouble   

Procedure 

Unit not turning on 

Remove the plastic insulators from battery cover 
Fully charge the battery for about 4 hours 
Reset the unit by flipping the side switch off and on. 

Unit not charging   

Replace the battery or USB cable adapter   

Blue light flashes rapidly   

Format the MicroSD memory card to remove any 
corrupted files; Insert the MicroSD memory card is in 
unit. MicroSD memory card maybe full; Ensure unit is 
charged. 

Remote controller is hard to use   

Remove the plastic insulator from the battery cover on 
the back; Hold it at least one foot away from the 
device; Wait a few seconds in between actions. 

Computer does not detect it 

Try a different USB port, a different computer or 
replace the USB cable. 

Clock’s screen flashes or character is displayed 
incompletely 

Maybe low on battery, try r

echarging the unit. 

Sound is recorded with noise or video is not clear 

Maybe low on battery, try r

echarging the unit. Format 

the MicroSD memory card to remove any corrupted 
files; 

Screen looks hazy or scratched. 

The screen has a fine protective plastic layer. Remove 
it by ripping a hole with your nail, than pull the plastic 
around towards the center of the screen. 

Video stops recording 

Maybe low on battery, try r

echarging the unit. 

Memory maybe full or corrupted.    Delete files or 
format memory.
