•
Any faults detected in the electric system/modules/operating equipment must be
corrected immediately. If these faults are not corrected, the device/system is
potentially very dangerous. The device/system must therefore not be operated when it
is faulty.
•
The screen protection against accidental contact must be
fi
xed again properly at the
end of the work and before restarting!
Information
•
Maintenance should be carried out based on VDMA 24186-1. The scope and
frequency of maintenance must be determined depending on operating and
installation conditions. Maintenance work on the motor must be carried out according
to the motor manufacturer's speci
fi
cations.

8.2 Particularities when using in explosive atmospheres
Attention!
The suitability of the fan for operation in or with
fl
ammable or explosive atmospheres can
only be permanently maintained if it is inspected, maintained and cleaned at regularly
scheduled intervals!
Be aware of the following Points:
•
ZIEHL-ABEGG recommends that during the phase of commissioning of a new fan, a
visual inspection during which the fan is especially checked for the tight seating of all
bolted connections, dirt, vibrations and unusual noises is undertaken at least weekly.
•
Stipulate the inspection intervals and the jobs which need to be carried out during the
inspection by taking the respectively prevailing ambient conditions into consideration.
E.g., it could be necessary to shorten the time between two successive inspections if it
is determined that the fan is exposed to dust and corrosive atmospheres. Pay special
attention to unusual noises, temperatures and vibrations. If obvious problems arise,
immediately take the fan out of operation and check it!
•
Solely trained experts are permitted to perform servicing and maintenance work on
explosive-protected fans. Use solely ZIEHL-ABEGG original replacement parts! A
replacement parts list is available on request from the stated service address.
•
All replacement parts must be identical with the originally installed components
regarding their technical data (power, materials, dimensions, coating, Ex-certi
fi
cation,
etc.).
•
Equally, also comply with the instructions on use as intended and mounting/installa-
tion during repair, service and maintenance work.
•
Comply with the information in the "Mounting" chapter for reconnection after all
servicing and maintenance work.
