System Configuration
The ZIG-ILC needs to be configured using the Essentials Control Server’s ZigNet WebGUI. Before configuration,
ensure the video, audio, control, and network connections are properly installed (refer to IP-Logic Technical
Reference Manual for more information on typical system connections). Apply power to the Essentials Control
Server, ZIG-ILC, and all the ZIG-IPPRO devices mounted inside the ZIG-ILC cage.
ZigNet will now be used to configure the ZIG-ILC (refer to the IP-Logic User Manual for more information on how to
access ZigNet and more details on all web pages available on the ZigNet WebGUI). The ZIG-ILC needs to be informed
of the identity of all internally installed ZIG-IPPRO devices. The ZIG-ILC will constantly monitor the current operating
temperature of each device and calculate an optimum thermal profile to regulate operating temperatures while
keeping fan noise to a minimum. If the ZIG-ILC contains no device information or loses communication with
Essentials, the ZIG-ILC will run the fans at maximum speed to protect the internal devices from overheating.
Access the ZigNet webGUI using a web browser on a computer. Enter the Essentials IP address on the browser’s
URL field. If the Essentials IP address is unknown, download the application ZigNet-Finder from the Zigen website.
ZigNet-Finder will find all Zigen products in the network, even devices not located on the same subnet as the
computer. ZigNet from Essentials will appear as in
