Specific safety regulations for sandblasting cabinets
1.
Prevent breathing in dust at all times, wear respiratory protection at all times when one
enters the room where the sandblasting cabinet stands with regard to particulate matter
that is released during the blasting and remains in the air. Breathing in particulate matter
causes serious lung problems.
2.
Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source before cleaning the machine,
removing dust filter or performing maintenance.
3.
Make sure the machine is properly grounded. In case you are using an extension, check if it is
grounded and if the capacity is sufficient.
4.
The compressed air hose should be closable by means of a tap/valve and the compressed air
is to be free of water, oil and other pollutions.
5.
Never use the machine near explosive/highly flammable liquids and/or gases, sparks that
might occur in electrical parts could ignite flammable gases or liquids.
6.
To prevent health problems you should under no circumstance use blasting grit which
contains silica, only use blasting grit which is specifically meant for sandblasting.
7.
Place the unit on a solid and level surface.
8.
Check the machine previous to each use for damaged and/or defect parts. Pay special
attention if all seals are still good and check all hoses for leakages.
9.
Never use the sandblasting cabinet without dust extraction or when it is not closed.

10.
At all times use your common sense when operating machines.

injuries!
