Operation
13.4.1
Switch the machine on
Ensure that the blade bar cannot come into contact with objects when starting the machine.
1. Place the machine on a flat, solid surface.
2. Press the intake pump (1) several times until fuel begins to
fill the bulb.
3. Set the ON-OFF-switch (2) to position “I” (ON).
4. To start a cold engine move the chock lever (3) to the closed
position
.
5. Pull the handle of the starter cable out to the point where the
compression of the engine can be felt. Then return the handle
to its original position and pull forcefully until the engine starts.
Please do not release the handle to avoid damage, instead re-
turn the recoil starter gently and slowly to its original position by
hand..
Note: when the engine is started for the very first time. It will re-
quire a number of attempts to start until the fuel has travelled
from the tank to the motor.
6. Turn the choke lever to the open position
as the engine
have started.
Warning. Check the cutting attachment it always have to stop
when the engine is idling.
7. Allow the engine to idle for one minute to warm up
for a warm start repeat step 1,2,35,7
NOTE:
Check that the blade bar comes to a standstill as soon as the engine is idling.
13.4.2
Switch the machine off
•
Reduce the engine speed and let the engine idle for a few minutes.
•
Set the ON-OFF-switch (2) to the "0" position (OFF).
•
To minimise the risk of injury, wait until the cutter bar has come to a complete stop before put-
ting the machine down.
Switch off the machine in case of emergency:
•
Set the ON-OFF-switch (2) to the "0" position (OFF).
The machine must be switched off under the following conditions:
•
When the engine speed changes.
•
In case of sparking.
•
In case of damaged blades.
•
In case of misfire.
•
In case of stron vibration.
•
In the event of flame or smoke development.
•
In rain or stormy weather.
13.4.3
Turning the handle
To give you the best and most ergonomic way to trim your
hedge, the handle (1) can be rotated 90 degrees to the right or
left.
NOTE:
Do not press the throttle trigger (3) when turning the
handle!
Procedure:
•
Push the handle locking (2) down while simultaneously
turning the handle (1) to the left or right until the handle
locking (2) reengages.
