Preparation
13.1.1
Checking delivery content
Check the delivery immediately for transport damage and missing parts. Report any damage or miss-
ing parts to your dealer or the shipping company immediately. Visible transport damage must also be
noted immediately on the delivery note in accordance with the provisions of the warranty, otherwise
the goods are deemed to have been properly accepted.
13.1.2
Assemble
The machine is delivered pre-assembled. Therefore, no further assembly steps are necessary before
commissioning, but the fuel reservoir must be refilled.
13.2
Fuel
13.2.1
General requirements
The machine is equipped with a 2-stroke engine and may only be operated with a fuel mixture of unleaded
petrol and 2-stroke oil in a ratio of 40:1.
•
This means that 4 litres of unleaded petrol are mixed with
0.1 litres of 2-stroke oil (mixing ratio 40:1).
•
Use a suitable, clean container for mixing.
•
Shake the container with the oil well before opening.
•
Afterwards, mix the oil and petrol thoroughly.
NOTE:
•
A poor oil quality and/or an inappropriate oil-fuel ratio can jeopardise the function and decrease
life time of catalytic converters.
•
Never refuel with contaminated fuel. Avoid contaminating the tank with dirt or water.
•
Fuel and fuel mixtures age. Superimposed fuel and fuel mixtures can cause starting problems.
Never store the same mixture in the tank for more than 30 days. Do not use a petrol-oil mixture
older than 90 days for the machine.
Petrol
•
Use unleaded petrol with an octane rating of at least 90 octane.
•
A higher octane rating is recommended if the machine is operated at a permanently high
speed.
Oil
•
Use high quality 2-stroke oil, for air-cooled engines.
•
Never use two-stroke oil intended for water-cooled engines.
•
Never use oil intended for four-stroke engines.
13.2.2
Refuelling
DAN G ER
Always switch off the engine before refuelling
. Never fill the machine with fuel when the
engine is running or while the engine is still hot – cool down time at least 2 minutes. Move
more than 3 meters from the point of refuelling before restarting the engine.
Fuelling procedure:
1
Unscrew fuel filler cap.
2
Pour the oil-fuel mixture carefully into the tank.
•
Do not spill anything!
3
Close the fuel filler cap tightly.
•
Wipe up any spilled fuel!
