5.3.2 Windows 2000/XP Network Settings
If you are using Windows 2000/XP, there are two ways. One is to add the local IP
address, and the other is to modify the local IP address.
1.
Add a local IP address
It is assumed that the IP address of the user's PC is 192.168.2.3, and the IP address
of the CANET device is the default IP address 192.168.0.178.
In the operating system, right-click My Network Neighborhood
. The Network
Connections window is displayed. Select the local area connection icon (Note: The
connection is a CANET device network connection. If the user has multiple network cards,
there may be multiple local area connections), right-click the local area connection
. The
window shown in Figure 5.6 appears.

Select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" under "This connection uses the following (D):" on
the "General" page. Click Properties. The window shown in Figure 5.7 appears.
