Appendix I:
Troubleshooting
Three troubleshooting techniques can be completed either to remedy a reagent error or as
directed by an Zoetis representative:
1. Prime: Used to remedy errors occurring with Rinse A or Rinse B, such as a bubble in
the line, or loose tubing connections, or as directed by Zoetis representative. Click the
Reagents button on the Tools Menu and then select the Rinse desired to Prime. This
reagent priming of both Rinse A and Rinse B occurs automatically when changing to a
new Reagent Kit.
2. Flush: If debris and/or bubbles are observed in the images over repeated measurements,
run a Flush to clear the measurement chamber or as directed by Zoetis representative.
Click the Flush button in the Tools Menu.
3. Drain: used in preparation for shipping or moving a VETSCAN SA.
The VETSCAN SA analyzer hardware is not intended to be serviced by operators. Contact a
Zoetis authorized representative if you suspect a problem inside the analyzer. Familiar problems
