Shrouds removed
To remove the lower shroud cover first remove the 2 vacuum hoses on shroud then proceed by lifting the
shroud up and over the guides while pulling it out. This will give you exposure to clean the reel. If necessary
you can also remove the lower shroud but this is not suggested, as it will protect the electrical box and motors
from water spray.
Inspection of the blades
WARNING!! The following should only be done when the power is disconnected. Never slide your fingers
across the reel blades as they are very sharp and may injure you.
With all the shroud covers removed visually check for any damage on the cutting edges. To rotate the reels
blades use a small block of wood (2x2 or 2x4) and never your fingers. Refer to Figure 1.6
If there is damage to the blades this must be corrected before further assembly and operation.
