If you are using a static IP address: Make sure that

Step 5: Setting Up VoIP Service
Global Village’s

VoIP service is included with your X5v. With
Global Village, you can make free VoIP calls to other Global
Village users (and to most other VoIP users) anywhere in the
world. You can also use Global Village to make low-cost calls to
virtually any phone in the world. With Global Village, there’s no
required monthly fee. You only pay for the calls you make.
We recommend that you first test your connection. Dial

An automated attendant will provide your seven-digit Global
Village VoIP telephone number.
To set up your personal Global Village account, click the

button at the bottom of the page.
The first time you enter the Global Village web site, you will be
prompted for your name, country, email address, and a password.
