Call Emergency Numbers
You can place calls to 9-1-1 even if the phone’s screen is locked or your account is restricted.
To call the 9-1-1 emergency number when the phone’s screen is locked with a screen lock:
1. Turn the screen on if it is turned off.
2. Touch and hold
EMERGENCY CONTACTS (ICE)
on the bottom of the screen.
3. Dial
beside 9-1-1.
To call the 9-1-1 emergency number normally or when your account is restricted:
1. Unlock the screen. For more information, see

2. From the home screen, touch

to open the dialpad.

Note:
When you make an emergency call, the phone automatically enters Emergency mode.
To exit Emergency mode:
1. Touch
to end a 9-1-1 call.

When you end the 9-1-1 call, you are returned to the Emergency Callback mode.

Emergency Callback Mode
Emergency Callback mode enables the operator to call you back to determine your approximate
location. In Emergency Callback mode, you cannot send and receive messages or browse Web
pages.
Emergency Callback mode is active for five minutes or is cancelled when you make a non-
emergency call.
Enhanced 9-1-1 (E 9-1-1) Information
This phone features an embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) chip necessary for utilizing E
9-1-1 emergency location services where available.
