3.3 Performing the MSTP Single-Step Operation
In the Spanning Tree Protocol (
) global configuration window (operation path:
ETH >
XSTP > Global Configuration
), if
Force Version
of a device is set to
MSTP
or
RSTP
and
the device is connected to an STP device, the connected port will automatically migrate to
the STP mode.
When the device on which STP is operating is removed, the port cannot automatically
migrate to the MSTP/RSTP mode. In this case, users can perform the M_Check operation
to forcedly make the port migrate to Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (
) mode or
Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (
) mode.
