4.14.5 Setting the vacuum intensity (optional)
Important:
Regulation of the vacuum intensity is only possible, if your machine is fitted with a vacuum turbine.
The output of the vacuum turbine is adjustable from levels 1-10. Levels 1-9 are regulated by the
negative pressure sensor of the cutter controller.
At level 10, the vacuum turbine operates at the highest power level without regulation.

Tip:
Observe the following advice to achieve a best possible material hold-down:
• Select a vacuum level appropriate for your material The material can be damaged if the
vacuum is too high (e.g., corrugated cardboard).
• Cover open vacuum areas. This allows you to select a lower power level.
• Only use level 10 for materials that are air-permeable and then only when processing requires
it.
• If the vacuum turbine audibly no longer works at a constant speed, too high a vacuum level is
set. Select a lower output level.
