Dismantle the P.T.O. and put every part alone on the P.T.O. s'. Mark the needed length, but
consider that the parts should cover each other minimum 150 mm (by a P.T.O. < 1 m).
Consider also the minimum length when assembling.
A too long P.T.O. can damage the tractor or the pump.
When the tubes are shortened, make sure that there are no sharp edges. Before assembling
the P.T.O. grease the inner tube and make sure that the tubes are fitting well together.
Cut the plastic protection tube 20 mm more than the steel tubes.
When you are connecting the P.T.O. to the tractor and pump make sure that it moves free-
that there are no obstacles.
When the P.T.O. is working, the angle should not be more than 15 degrees.
For the personal safety it is important that the plastic protection tube
covers the whole P.T.O. and that the protection also covers the U joints. Do
not forget to set the chain length so that the protection cannot rotate.
