13. CALCULATING THE AGENT CONSUMPTION ON A HECTARE
13.1. DEFINING THE RIGHT SPEED
The speed of the tractor depends on the difficulty of the terrain and is recommended for
sprayers between 6 and 10 km/h. The tachometers in tractors are not accurate so you must
make a speed control: drive 100 m with work speed and measure the time taken, but you must
have the full speed when you begin to measure. On the table, you can look up the real speed.

Thus, speed of the tractor with used 72 seconds for 100 m distance will be

13.2. DEFINING THE FLUID CONSUMPTION ON A HECTARE
On the sprayers ZM there are ceramic nozzles serial, the working pressure for them is
between 6 and 15 bars
. Before the work, check witch nozzles you have on your sprayer
(producer, color of the housing), check also the flow table on the sprayer.
Application rate can be calculated using the following formula:
