Safety valve
On each pump is a safety valve that protects the
pump from over loading and too high pressure. It
is positioned on the left side of the pump and has
an angle tube for a hose that is going back to the
tank. If the pressure is too high, the safety valve
opens and the fluid is running out, so reduce the
working pressure and stop the P.T.O. Press the
brass button on the valve, to close the valve- the
safety valve is now working again as in the
beginning.
Pump valve control
Before ever season or after a season check the valves and O seals on the
valves. Check the valves also if the pump is not working properly. Proceed in
these steps:
a) Unscrew the valve cover
b) Remove the cover
c) Pull the O-rings and valves from the housing.
d) Check the valves and O-rings. Check
specially the strength of the springs in the
valves. Replace if necessary the worn out
parts.
e) Construct the pump.
f) Repeat the procedure for each valve.
g) Pay attention to the right screwing torque.
