34.6.2.1 IPv4 Address Add/Edit Screen
The
Configuration > Object > Address/GeoIP > Address > Add/Edit (IPv4)
screen allows you to create a
new address or edit an existing one. To access this screen, go to the
Address
), and click either the
Add
icon or an
Edit
icon in the
IPv4 Address Configuration
section.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.
Reference
This displays the number of times an object reference is used in a profile.
IPv6 Address Configuration
Add
Click this to create a new entry.
Edit
Double-click an entry or select it and click
Edit
to be able to modify the entry’s settings.
Remove
To remove an entry, select it and click
Remove
. The Zyxel Device confirms you want to remove
it before doing so.
References
Select an entry and click
References
to open a screen that shows which settings use the entry.

This field is a sequential value, and it is not associated with a specific address.
Name
This field displays the configured name of each address object.
Type
This field displays the type of each address object. “
INTERFACE
” means the object uses the
settings of one of the Zyxel Device’s interfaces.
IPv6 Address
This field displays the IPv6 addresses represented by each address object. If the object’s
settings are based on one of the Zyxel Device’s interfaces, the name of the interface displays
first followed by the object’s current address settings.

This displays the number of times an object reference is used in a profile.

Name
Type the name used to refer to the address. You may use 1-31 alphanumeric characters,
underscores(
_
), or dashes (-), but the first character cannot be a number. This value is case-
sensitive.
Address Type
Select the type of address you want to create.
Note: The Zyxel Device automatically updates address objects that are based on an
interface’s IP address, subnet, or gateway if the interface’s IP address settings
change. For example, if you change 1’s IP address, the Zyxel Device
automatically updates the corresponding interface-based, LAN subnet
address object.
IP Address
This field is only available if the
Address Type
is
HOST
. This field cannot be blank. Enter the IP
address that this address object represents.
Starting IP
Address
This field is only available if the
Address Type
is
RANGE
. This field cannot be blank. Enter the
beginning of the range of IP addresses that this address object represents.
