Voice VLAN ensur es t hat t he sound qualit y of an I P phone is preser ved fr om det er iorat ing w hen t he
dat a t raffic on t he Swit ch por t s is high. I t gr oups t he voice t raffic w it h defined pr ior it y int o an
assigned VLAN w hich enables t he separat ion of voice and dat a t raffic com ing ont o t he Swit ch por t .
You can set pr ior it y level t o t he Voice VLAN and add MAC addr ess of I P phones fr om specific
m anufact ur er s by using it s I D fr om t he Or ganizat ionally Unique I dent ifier s ( OUI ) .
