VoIP Trunking Application 4
– Regular Phone to Regular Phone Call
Making Phone Call from Regular Phone to Regular Phone:
1.
Dial the PSTN number of the ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (A).
2.
The ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (A) picks up and waits for caller to enter a phone number when it
receives the call. If the caller does not enter another number, the ZyXEL Trunking Device (A)
connects the call to Phone 2.
3.
Enter the destination SIP number of the ZyXEL device B. This number starts with a
Prefix Pattern
you already preconfigured in the
Call Rule
(VoIP > Trunking > Call Rule). The ZyXEL Trunking
Device (A) forwards the call via peer call according to the call rule you specified.
If the
Auto Attendant Authentication
on the ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (A) is not enabled, it
directly forwards your call to the ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (B) and rings Phone 3.
If it has
Auto Attendant Authentication
enabled, the IVR in Trunking Gateway will prompt you
to enter the password. If your password matches then it forward your calls to the SIP number of
the ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (B) and rings phone 3.
4.
The remote ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (B) authenticates the username and password provided from
the originator ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (A) by checking its incoming authentication list (VoIP >
Trunking > Peer Call). If authentication matches, the remote ZyXEL Trunking Gateway (B) forwards
the call to phone 3.
