8.3.2 PIN Configuration
When you use the PIN configuration method, you need to use both WRE6606’s configuration
interface and the client’s utilities.
The push button configuration function is available both in AP mode and Repeater mode.

Launch your wireless client’s configuration utility. Go to the WPS Station settings and select the PIN
method to get a PIN number.

On the WRE6606, navigate to the
Network
>
Wireless LAN 2.4G
or
Wireless LAN 5G
>
WPS
screen.

Obtain the PIN number for the WRE6606 or press the
Generate
button to create a new PIN
number. See

Enter the WRE6606 PIN number in the wireless station’s utility screen.
The WRE6606 authenticates the wireless client and sends the proper configuration settings to the
wireless client. This may take up to two minutes. Then the wireless client is able to communicate
with the WRE6606 securely.
