TO OPERATE

The microphone is held in place by the foam lined metal housing in the center of
the shockmount. To open up the diameter and insert microphone, squeeze the two
metal clips together between your thumb and fingers. (see Fig. 1)

The wingnut located at the bottom of the clip (see Fig. 2) will control the rotation of
the shockmount 180 degrees. Simply loosen (counter-clockwise) or tighten
(clockwise) the wingnut as needed.

INSTRUMENT MICROPHONES

The SMt25 is ideally suited for instrument condenser microphones such as the
ADX51, SCX1 and SCX25a  — and a wide variety of other popular microphones on the
market. The SMT25 will hold the microphone securely in just about any position. With
condenser microphones, itis important that the element and all ports in the housings
and grills remain completely exposed.

VOCAL MICROPHONES

The SMT25 will also work with vocal microphones such as the OM series and the VX4
(pictured), and a wide variety of other popular microphones on the market. Since
vocal microphones tend to be larger in diameter (24-25mm on the average) they may
take a bit more finesse to intall. The mic may have to be worked into the housing by
carefully twisting the mic back and forth as you are pushing into position.
