This microscope allows you to study objects at a
larger scale. It is highly suitable for beginning
investigators.
The high mechanical and optical quality
guarantee a reliable and maintenance free use
of this microscope.
This is a precision instrument which should be
handled with care. To be able to use this
microscope to its full extend, please read tis
explanation.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
To prevent condensation of the optical parts, it is recommended to let the
microscope get adapted to the room temperature while still in the original packing.
Always place the microscope on a flat and levelled surface.
The item to be observed should be placed in the centre of the object plate. The clips
might come in use to fixate the item. Use the side knobs to focus the microscope.
2. STORAGE AND CLEANING
The microscope should stay clean and kept away from dust. Keep eyepieces,
objectives and objective pairs always in the microscope. Remove them only when
necessary. When not in use, protect the microscope against dust by means of the
dustcover or store it in a optional storage case.
Do not touch the optical system with bare hands. Do not contaminate the optical
parts with fluids. Use lens paper or a soft cloth for cleaning lenses, instead.
In case the lenses are severally contaminated, clean by using a soft cloth sprinkled
with ethanol. The inner lens system can only be cleaned by using a soft haired
pencil. The rest of the microscope can best be cleaned with a soft cloth. Use of mild
detergent is possible.
