Getting Started With MediaStar 

514 Wired Remote Control

The MediaStar 514 Wired Remote Control can be used with all MediaStar 

systems where a wired push button controller is required, rather than the 

standard infra-red remote control and IR receiver.  This unit connects to either 
the MediaStar Evolution 760 and 760/xM units, MediaStar Pro 507 Micro 
Settops, or MediaStar Compact 751 receivers (all referred to as ‘endpoints’ in 
this document).

imPoRtant

This unit has to be PROGRAMMED to operate correctly with each 

type of MediaStar endpoint equipment.  Programming instructions are 

shown below.  If this unit is plugged in but key presses do not get any 

response from the system, it is likely the Wired remote Control has 

been programmed to work with the wrong type of mediastar endpoint 

equipment.
