CAR-MON SERIES LFT
HEAVY-DUTY BALANCER
NOTE:
If balancer is attached to a Car-Mon platform, it should be mounted
directly above the tubing assembly so the cable hangs as
perpendicular as possible during use, minimizing wear on the cord
and the guide.
WARNING
DO NOT
operate with damage or frayed cable.
DO NOT
remove load until tension is released.
DO NOT
lift loads not centered under balancer.
INSTALLATION
1. Hang the balancer on the Car-Mon platform (if provided) or mount
directly above the work area securely. The mounting ring can be
removed if balancer is to be bolted to the platform. The weight of
the balancer and the tubing drop should be taken into
consideration when mounting.
If the balancer is mounted with
mounting ring, you must install the safety chain provided
and attach to the building structure, and not at the same
attachment point as the mounting ring. See instructions at
lower left.
2. When the balancer is secure, raise the tubing assembly to the
safety clip.
DO NOT pull the cable down from the balancer to
attach to the tube assembly! Damage to the balancer or
injury could result!
If the balancer tips to an angle after tubing is attached, try
mounting the balancer to a location where the coated cable hangs
as perpendicular as possible.

INSTALLING SAFETY CHAIN
1.
Loop safety chain around secure building
structural steel.
2.
To complete loop, affix shackle to chain link
by inserting pin through shackle eyes and
install cotter key vin pin through hole and
bend key legs over to secure the key in the
pin.
3.
Affix shackle at the opposite end of the
chain to the LFT frame by inserting pin
through top shackle eye on bottom. Install
cotter key through hole in pin below
shackle eye and bend key legs over to
secure the key in the pin.
