Important!
Read through the following instructions carefully before you start using this AC/DC adaptor with
your equipment.
1. Selection of voltage. The AC/DC adaptor has an adjustable output
voltage between 5V and 24V. Set the correct voltage with the enclosed
transparent socket. If you would like to set a 12V voltage, then stop the
transparent socket at the 12V marking on the short side of the AC/DC
adaptor. It is important that the cord is not connected to the wall socket,
when you change / connect the socket in the AC/DC adaptor.
Troubleshooting:
If the AC/DC adaptor only gives out 5 V no matter
what socket is being used. Check that the socket for selected voltage
is correctly connected. It is easy to miss the hole for the pins. It is
important that the power cord is not connected to the wall socket while
changing/connecting the socket in the AC/DC adaptor.
2. There are two polarities on the DC voltage, positive and negative.
You can set the polarity ( plus ”+ ” or minus ”-” ) with the enclosed detachable plugs so that the
polarity matches your equipment.
a)
If your equipment has a positive
centre conductor, connect the
detachable plug in a manner so
that the positive symbol ”+” on the
cable is visible in front of the ”CEN”
label on the plug. The symbol
”+” means that the centre leader is positive.
b)
If your equipment has a negative centre conductor, connect the detachable plug in a manner
so that the negative symbol “ - “ on the cable is visible in front of the “CEN” label on the plug.
The symbol “ - “ means that the centre leader is negative.
3. Do not connect the AC/DC adaptor to your equipment before you have made sure that the correct
voltage and polarity (plus and minus location) are correctly set. Connected equipment can be
damaged if incorrect settings are selected at which the warranty is not valid.
Check what is on the label of your equipment. You can often find information about the correct
voltage and polarity of your previous AC/DC adaptor or your equipment or in its owner’s manual.
Safety instructions:
1. Protect the AC/DC adaptor from dirt, moisture, and overheating and use it only in dry areas!
Only use it in room temperatures b10 and +40 degrees.
2. Do not open the AC/DC adaptor and do not use it, if it is damaged. The AC/DC adaptor should
only be repaired by qualified persons.
3. Use a dry and soft rag to clean it. Always disconnect the adaptor, before it is cleaned and when it
is not going to be used for a while.
4. Do not overload the AC/DC adaptor. The maximum load current (A) in relation to the voltage (V)
is stated on the bottom of the AC/DC adaptor.
