Safety

•  Never use the jack for any other purpose or in any other

way than that described in this user manual.

•  The jack has a maximum rated load capacity. Never exceed

the rated load capacity of the jack. Attempts to exceed
the rated capacity could lead to personal injury and damage
the jack and the load.

•  Only use the jack on a hard level surface which is strong

enough to support the weight of the object to be lifted.

•  Vehicles must only be lifted by placing the jack under the lift

points specified by the manufacturer.

•  Never attempt to tamper with or modify the jack in any way.
•  Always inspect the jack before use. Never use the jack if it is

leaking oil or has been damaged in any way.

•  Use the jack for lifting only, not for supporting the lifted load.

Axle stands must be used if you are to work underneath
a vehicle.

•

Never

work beneath a vehicle that is only supported on

jacks; use axle stands which are in good condition and
checked regularly.

Care and maintenance

•  Clean the jack using a lightly moistened cloth. Only use mild

cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.

•  When storing the jack, always make sure that the jack lifting

arm and saddle are fully lowered.

Operating instructions

Note:

The screw to the right of the release valve is the safety

overload valve. The safety overload valve is factory set and
must

not

 be adjusted.

Assemble the three sections of the pump handle by holding
in the spring catches and inserting the two smaller diameter
sections into the larger diameter middle section. Make sure that
the spring catches locate in the slots on the middle section.

3.  Place the jack under

the vehicle so that the saddle
of the jack is centred under
one of the vehicle’s lift
points (consult the vehicle’s
handbook for guidance).
Unscrew the screw extension
to raise the saddle up to
the lift point.

4.  Insert the jack handle into

the handle sleeve and pump
until the saddle touches the lift
point. Ensure that the saddle
is centred correctly beneath
the lift point.

5.  Pump the handle until

the vehicle is raised to
a height which enables
an axle stand to be
positioned under a strong
point on the vehicle (consult
the vehicle’s handbook for
guidance).

Jacking a vehicle

1.  Park the vehicle in gear and put the handbrake on.

Vehicles with automatic gear boxes should be put into

P

(Park) and the handbrake put on.

2.  Fit the jack handle onto the release valve and twist it

clockwise as far as it will go to close the release valve.

6.  Place the slots on the jack handle over the release valve,

twist

slowly

anticlockwise to lower the vehicle carefully

onto the axle stand.
